And here’s one more date to put in your calendar: Landpartie: Hamburg Edition!Julia Schwendner joined the Landpartie as a photographer, and by now her full documentation is up on the landpartie.art website. Definitely worth a look (link below). This project up here in the solitude of the north did all of us a lot of good — it's a very special kind of art exhibition, in a very special place, with very special people. Naturally, that calls for a continuation next summer! But before I start planning edition 3, Melvin is inviting everyone to a kind of follow-up show at his MEGA Contemporary in Hamburg on October 16th (from 6pm). There, in the city, we'll be showing the wonderful works of Lolita Pelegrime, Stefanie Rausch, Mario Kleinschmidt, Peter Birk, and Rasmus Rinhack at Bäckerbreitergang 75. I'll be contributing something too, though I don't know exactly what yet, since I'm already presenting my current work two weeks later at Feinkunst Krüger. I'll think of something. What I will definitely bring along from my neighborhood up here, though, is fresh Angeliter beer from the Weltbrauerei in Schörderupp. That'll be on tap at the opening. Now I really do need to get back to the studio. A few dancers still need carving today … See you all soon, and even though it feels very difficult right now with all the madness and lunatics in the world: stay hopeful, hug each other and be kind to one another, pay attention, never look away, and set a small sign every day for compassion and love for one another, against fascism and the growing inhumanity in our society.
