The LANDPARTIE #1 was a solo exhibition I opened on July 12, 2025 in the beautiful countryside of Anglia (Angeln), north of the Schlei Fjord in Schleswig-Holstein. For the show I converted the former “Gaststätte” (Restaurant and Bar and Dance Hall) in the village of Scheggerott into an exhibition venue. This place, simply called “Kneipe” is an event and concert venue today, that is why they have a proper stage, but it is no longer run as a pub.
The idea behind this exhibition - which was only one day long - was to present my art in my new neighborhood, where my family and I are restoring an old farmhouse (from 1866). Today this restoration is nearly finished, and if you follow me on instagram you might have seen some of the progress we made since byuing the place in 2018. The house is pretty isolated, outside the neighboring village of Wagersrott.
This day long event began with coffee and cake, we made a BBQ in the afternoon and evening and planned to finish around the campfire, which eventually became the bar, because the rain set in at some point. Nonetheless, the LANDPARTIE was overwhelmingly good, and so we will do it again next year. A bit different, but mostly the same: just more days, more events, more artists, and maybe this time: live music.
