The Landpartie 2026 is getting more colorful and more exciting by the day – and now we've got a band for the opening day on Saturday, July 11th! And what could be more fitting than real country music – from the very land it comes from?
Joe Wunderle from Nashville will be performing with his band in the Danzdeel of the "Kneipe", surrounded by the art of Stefanie Rausch, Lolita Pelegrime, Mario Kleinschmidt, Peter Birk, Rasmus Rinhack and myself.
I'll leave the description to the professionals – here in the words of Oliver Kanehl, who puts on wonderful indie country shows with his label YEEHAW:
"What does America sound like? With Joe Wunderle, it sounds wild, raw and dangerous, eerie and distant. Wunderle's archaic folk songs and raw cowboy ballads conjure images from a long-forgotten era. Across six albums, the American singer-songwriter has shown how much you can move people with just a few musical ingredients. Wunderle draws seemingly effortlessly from the rich legacy left behind by song-poets like Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley. Dry country folk that makes you thirsty and touches the soul."
